Dani Wilder is a Texas-raised, Portland-based filmmaker, musician, and writer. Her work explores the intersecting points of genre and experimental filmmaking, seeking to expand upon the abstract periphery of narrative film and tell grand stories through a rudimentary digital lens. She is especially hyper-fixated on the tension between the way trans women are portrayed in popular culture and the way they exist in reality, using the medium of film to reconcile the past as a means of looking towards the future.

Her first narrative feature film Gloriohio had its public premiere at Portland Institute of Contemporary Art and will be making its way through the festival circuit for the remainder of 2026.
